Experience Thailand Cultural Tour gives you the opportunity to learn about this fascinating culture in a country with rich history and religious monuments. This 12 days cultural tour focuses on the main sights of Thailand. You will overnight in Bangkok and many other cities. This tour will take you to visit some of the cities that served as Thailand’s capitals: Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Sukhothai. We’ll visit in Bangkok, the Temple of the Golden Buddha and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha built in 1832. But also the Grand Palace, the royal residence begun in 1782. In Ayutthaya, Thailand’s ancient capital, your sightseeing includes a visit to Bang Pa-In Palace, which was built as a summer residence for the Kings of Ayutthaya. After that, in Sukhothai, Thailand’s 13th-century capital, visit Sukhothai Historic Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ruins of palaces, temples and homes.

Moreover, during Experience Thailand Cultural Tour you’ll learn about the Thai culture. While in Bangkok, enjoy a Thai dinner with Thai classical music and dancers. Day 1: Welcome to Thailand

Welcome to Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok. Hotel rooms are available for mid-afternoon check-in.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour in Bangkok

Bangkok is a mix of historic and religious monuments, chic modernity, exciting shopping and friendly culture. This is an exciting day of sightseeing. Take in the city’s principal attractions such as the splendid Temple of the Golden Buddha and the spectacular Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The second is the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Bangkok. You will also visit the gleaming Grand Palace, Thailand’s most sacred monument; and the spectacular Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Later in the evening, enjoy a special traditional Thai Dinner, accompanied by Thai classical music and dancers. You have Breakfast and Dinner included on this day.

Day 3: Day at your leisure in Bangkok

Explore Bangkok at your own peace and enjoy the great-value shopping, lively markets and the delicious Thai cuisine. You have Breakfast included on this day.

Day 4: Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

Visit the legendary and famous Floating Market at Damnoen Saduak. Here traders sell all manner of items from their boats, including exotic fruits, vegetables, silks and toys. Then travel to Kanchanaburi on the banks of the Kwai River, famed for the River Kwai Bridge. This was built during WWII. Here, visit the Allied Forces Cemetery and spend time in the fascinating Thailand-Burma Railway Centre. Most importantly, today go on a Train Ride across the famous bridge to Wang Po Station. In the afternoon, visit Hellfire Pass Memorial, part of the Death Railway that cuts through the mountains. Today, it houses a museum detailing the life of the Allied prisoners and Asian laborers who helped build the railway. You have Breakfast included on this day.

Day 5: Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya

Today, head to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam. Here, you will visit Bang Pa-In Palace. It was built in the 18th century as a summer residence for the Kings of Ayutthaya. You have Breakfast included on this day.

Day 6: Ayutthaya to Uthai Thani to Phitsanulok

While in Uthai Thani we take a cruise along Sakaekrang River and learn about the local life. Later, drive to Phitsanulok, one of Thailand’s oldest cities, founded over 600 years ago. In the evening an optional rickshaw ride to experience the colourful night market can be considered. You have Breakfast and Lunch included on this day.

Day 7: Phitsanulok to Sukhothai to Chiang Rai

Today we go to Sukhothai, Thailand’s 13th-century former capital. Once here, admire the moated Old Town. Visit the Historic Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and explore ruined temples and monasteries. On the other hand, find here Wat Si Chum with its stunning seated Buddha. Later, travel through rural countryside to Chiang Rai. You have Breakfast included on this day.

Day 8: Chiang Rai and excursion to the Golden Triangle

Today, enjoy breathtaking views as you journey to Doi Mae Salong and visit a Tea Plantation. After that, continue to Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost town. Here, we go to the renowned Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Burma, and Laos meet. You have an option for a boat tour on the Mekong River. Day 9: Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai

Today we travel to Chiang Mai. Firstly, visit Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. After that, continue through lush jungle to Chiang Mai, a fragrant mountain retreat. It is known as the “Rose of the North” for its refreshing climate. Upon arrival, visit San Kampaeng to see how local craftsmen make Thailand’s traditional lacquerware and teakwood furniture. Day 10: Chiang Mai and the Elephant Sanctuary

Start the day with a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary, where over 30 elephants roam freely in a safe and sustainable environment. Here, you have the chance to touch, feed, photograph and interact with the elephants. But also learn about their lifestyle and behaviors. In the afternoon, visit Wat Phra Singh with its famous Buddha image and Wat Doi Suthep, a temple hidden in the mountains. For the final ascent to the temple, you can take a tram car or walk up the Naga staircase, with more than 300 steps. You have Breakfast and Lunch included on this day.
